Anti-Coal Senator to Campaign for Alison Grimes

One of the most anti-coal Senators in the U.S., Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, is coming to Kentucky to campaign for Alison Grimes, who claims to be a pro-coal candidate for Kentucky's U.S. Senate seat.

What do we know about Alison's friend?  On July 18, 2013, Senator Warren, voted to approve President Obama's nominee, Regina McCarthy, for Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  (Click here to view the Senate's Roll Call vote.)

In less than a year, the new EPA administrator released regulations which could further decimate Kentucky's coal industry.

Not only did Alison's friend, Senator Warren, vote to approve President Obama's EPA administrator, but she recently praised the newest regulations that will impact Kentucky's coal-fired power plants, which supply over 90% of the state's energy.

And where does Alison's friend stand on coal miners? She tried to help a steel company avoid paying 140 million dollars to a retired coal miners fund.

With friends like Alison's, Kentucky doesn't need enemies.
